Day 15 of 30 Days of Self Love: Have a Cozy, Hygge Day

☘️☘️☘️ Happy St-Patrick's Day! ☘️☘️☘️

I guess I should have saved my "luck" post for today! On a weather note, I think this is the first St-Patrick's Day I can remember in the last few decades where we haven't had a show-stopping blizzard. I'm very grateful for that luck! :)

Today's Self Love Challenge is to have a cozy, Hygge day. For those who don't know, Hygge (in short) is a lifestyle coined by the Danes. Its goal is comfort, coziness, relaxation, togetherness and a soothing environment of well-being. I find the concept fascinating because I was kind of already living that lifestyle, though I call it my "pajama-life"!

I thought I'd give you a pet tour today. Since I'll be cuddling up on the couch with the pets very soon by the fireplace, I wanted to share with you how much furry love I have in my Hygge home!! :)

Light some candles, get in your pj's, make some hot cocoa (or an Irish Coffee!!), sit in a cozy chair cuddled up with a blanket and read a book, write in a journal or do some hand crafts. Cuddle up with the pets and spend some time with them, enjoying their company and the unconditional love they give you. Make yourself a delicious comforting meal and enjoy a relaxed and leisurely dinner with friends or your honey bunny. 😏 Have a glass of wine by the fireplace.

These are just some ideas that I have for today! How will you cozy up your day? Do you practice a Hygge lifestyle?

I CANNOT believe how calm your pets all are! (and how cute) I get random pictures and videos of my crew one at a time, but hardly ever are they all snoozing/laying down at the same time!

I love PJ day...I have gotten where I have way too many of them lately though. However I do have to dress late in the day to go to the barn and feed. Since the barn is a 7 or 8 min drive away, I have to dress! haha...Wow, that snow is still really high. I enjoyed meeting your babes. I would love to do a video on my blog but iphone/ipad and blogger.com don't play well together. Oh well....glad you are doing well.

Since the snow is actually melting, and the sun is shining, I am losing my interest in hibernating. Which to me, came before hygge became famous. :-)

But with all your snow, I can certainly see, why it would still be a good idea, for you.

Enjoy!!!!!

Thanks Lisa :) They have full bellies, and they LOVE their home-cooked food so they are very satisfied after eating and nap for hours. I guess we all have our habits! :) I'm thankful they are all so calm too! :)

Hi Pam :) PJ day is great! And you know, I understand why you MUST get dressed lol...if it were me though, I'd probably just go in my pj's anyway lol...

Hi Wisps of Words :) I'm losing interest in hibernating lately too! But when it's still so cold out, I need cozy to keep me sane! :) Yes, the word hygge got really famous I agree, I think my lifestyle came before I officially labeled it that way as well.

I loved seeing each of your pets, and I also love the sound of your voice because it it soothing. Okay you hit on my biggest challenge, Rain. I find it very difficult to give myself a day of relaxing. I am so non-Hygge. My trainer Julie is always on me to take a day and do nothing but relax with a book or watch tv or just be ~ no stairs, no more than 5000 steps, no goals or priorities. So far, I've only been able to do that when I'm really sick. If I pick one of your Self Love Challenges to make a priority, it's got to be this! Wish me luck!

Good luck Louise!!! You can actually start with just a morning of relaxation, instead of committing to an entire day! Baby steps!!!
